Your electric bike trip: Ticket to ride on the Via Fluvia

Embark on a cycling trip to discover the Via Fluvia. Depart from Le Puy, follow the Loire to join the Via Fluvia on the former Galoche route, this emblematic railway line which then transported passengers between Haute-Loire and Ardèche. At the end of the route, you will be expected with your bikes for an organized return to Le Puy by minibus.

Day 1 : Your arrival in Le Puy-en-Velay

A nice opportunity to discover the ancient town an the European capital of Saint-James way.

Day 2 : Le Puy-en-Velay - Yssingeaux - 40km - D+545m

After taking possession of your bike, you will ride all day (or almost) along the Loire − first along the cycle path and then on the road − before joining the Via Fluvia, which follows the path of the disused La Galoche railway line.
Now you ride in the footsteps of the Galoche, this old railway line,! You discover a quiet and secure route that leads you to the ravines of Corboeuf, surprising landscapes.

Day 3 : Yssingeaux - Riotord -42km - D+445M

From Yssingeaux the route winds down through valleys and meadows. You reach the bridge of the enclosure then the route invites you to discover many villages and works of art. At Riotord, you will be picked up in the afternoon (passengers and bicycles) for a return to Le Puy-en-Velay.

If you plan to travel with your bike, please make sure of certain points:

If it is an electrically assisted bicycle, the battery must have a minimum power of 400 watts. Attention: the battery must be removable, if this is not the case, please contact us to check the possibilities of reception.
It is imperative that it be in perfect working order before departure. Consider getting it checked out.
Thank you for providing an adequate repair kit as well as a smartphone holder on the handlebars
Our routes mix small roads and paths, your bike must be hybrid, mountain bike or gravel with suitable tires. City and road bikes are therefore to be avoided – If in doubt, call us!
