Since 2016, L’Autre Chemin has been inviting you to discover France differently, on foot or by bike, at the pace of the trails, the landscapes and the people you meet along the way.

Based in Le Puy-en-Velay, in the heart of Auvergne and the Massif Central, our agency enjoys a unique location at the crossroads of several major hiking trails. This privileged setting gives us an in-depth knowledge of the paths and landscapes we invite you to explore, including the Way of St James, the Stevenson Trail, the Saint-Régis Trail, the Saint-Guilhem Trail and the Tour of the Velay Volcanoes…

We create self-guided journeys for those who love to take their time and truly experience a destination. On foot or by e-bike, we take you along the trails of Auvergne, quiet country lanes, hidden paths and lesser-known routes that reveal the authentic beauty and character of our regions.

Our philosophy is simple: to introduce you to authentic landscapes, favour shorter stages and meaningful encounters, and let you fully enjoy the freedom of travelling from one place to the next — without having to worry about the logistics.

Electric bike or bike trips

With a fleet of recent electric bikes (possibility of VTC without assistance for the more athletic!) – Discover our fleet of bikes) L’Autre Chemin is a bicycle travel agency that offers you turnkey stays for solo, couple, family or friends. Discover the Mézenc, the sucs of Meygal, the Loire Sauvage but also the Ardèche Mountains, the gorges of Haut Allier, the Monts du Devès, Le Haut-Lignon, Le Puy en Velay… But also the opportunity to discover the Way of Saint-Jacques de Compostelle to Conques or Stevenson, but also Vendée or Corsica by electric bike or by bike according to your desires! L’Autre Chemin has specially designed itineraries offering a wide variety of landscapes, traveling along small picturesque roads or accessible paths to offer you a new and real experience of discovery of the Haute-Loire where all your senses will be awakened.

• Travel independently and at your own pace: we design carefully crafted itineraries with well-balanced stages, allowing you to make the most of your stay. The routes combine quiet country roads, scenic paths and accessible trails, offering a variety of experiences and a different way to discover each region.
• Bikes to suit your needs: as an optional extra, choose from our range of modern, comfortable and easy-to-use e-bikes. We also offer non-electric adult mountain bikes, children’s e-bikes and trailers for little ones. Discover our range of bikes
