After taking possession of your bikes, head off along the Puy-en-Velay cycle path, which follows a former railway line. Ride through tunnels and across a viaduct until you get to Cayres/Bouchet St Nicolas, where you will discover the jewel in the crown of the Haute-Loire's lakes: the Bouchet volcanic lake.

After riding around the volcanic lake of Bouchet take the road towards Costaros. Join the Brignon then the Cascade de la Beaume. Soon you will find the greenway then a small variant to reach the beautiful town of Puy.

If you plan to travel with your bike, please make sure of certain points:
If it is an electrically assisted bicycle, the battery must have a minimum power of 400 watts. Attention: the battery must be removable, if this is not the case, please contact us to check the possibilities of reception.
It is imperative that it be in perfect working order before departure. Consider getting it checked out.
Thank you for providing an adequate repair kit as well as a smartphone holder on the handlebars
Our routes mix small roads and paths, your bike must be hybrid, mountain bike or gravel with suitable tires. City and road bikes are therefore to be avoided – If in doubt, call us!
No last night in Le Puy
If you do not wish to enjoy the last night at Puy-en-Velay, we will deduct €75 from the amount of your trip.
L’Autre Chemin has teamed up with a selection of guesthouses and small, traditional hotels to offer guests the best that the Haute-Loire has to offer, ensuring that every stopover is an opportunity to learn about the architecture, lifestyle, gastronomy and local people of this region.
