A stunning discovery route, you’ll cycle along small roads and trails that are always easily accessible, ensuring the pleasure of exploring by bike remains the focus. For this route along the Camino de Santiago, you’ll cycle through the heart of the Célé Valley, connecting Figeac to Saint-Cirq-Lapopie. Your cycling trip will then end in Moissac after discovering Cahors, Montcuq, and Lauzerte. The spirit of the Camino de Santiago continues through the typical landscapes of the Quercy region… Ready to be amazed, with the wind in your hair?

Please note: We do not offer bike rentals for this trip. You can travel with your own bike or one rented from a rental company.
Points to check before leaving:
- If it’s an electric bike, the battery must have a minimum power of 400 or 500 watts.
- The battery must be removable; if not, please contact us to check availability.
- We ask that you bring a suitable repair kit and a handlebar smartphone mount.
- Our routes combine small roads and trails; your bike must be a hybrid, mountain bike, or gravel bike with suitable tires.

Departing from Conques, follow the pleasant Dourdou Valley, then take the cycle route to Livihnac-le-Haut, where you'll rejoin the GR65 trail to the beautiful town of Figeac, bordered by the Célé River.

Take the beautiful gentle path carved into the cliff face to reach Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, a magnificent village overlooking the Lot River. Of course, there's a steep climb to reach the magnificent village and then the high plateau before returning to the banks of the Lot River for a beautiful arrival in Cahors and the discovery of the magnificent Valentré Bridge.

It's always a bit difficult to leave a town like Cahors, but your route soon joins beautiful gravel tracks and small roads. You'll reach Montcuq-en-Quercy, which needs no introduction. Your stage will end in Lauzerte, a pretty little village.

The Credential The pilgrim’s passport to be stamped at each stop. We offer the Credential of the Friends of the Way of Saint James as an option. No need to travel; it will be sent to you with your travel diary before your departure. However, if you plan to attend the Pilgrims’ Mass at 7 a.m. at Le Puy Cathedral, you can find credential on site. Price: €7 / credential when booking your hike

By Train
Conques-en-Rouergue does not have a train station. However, if you’re arriving by train, here’s some information on how to get to Conques.
- From Paris: Arrive at Saint-Christophe train station, then take a taxi to Conques.
- From Paris, Bordeaux, Toulouse, or Marseille: Arrive at Rodez train station, then take bus line 223 (during school term) or a taxi.
By Car
Conques is accessible by road. Here are the main mileage indicators:
