Away from the crowds of some other trails, enjoy the Conclusion of the Saint-Régis Trail, which takes you from the Haute-Ardèche region through the forests to Haut-Lignon and then the Sucs du Meygal to reach the magnificent town of Le Puy-en-Velay.

Day 1: Your arrival in Lalouvesc

An opportunity to discover Lalouvesc, a hilltop village offering magnificent views of the Alps and the surrounding area.

Marche en forêt
Day 2: Lalouvesc-Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid : 20km - 5h30 -D+685m

The trail takes you back to Haute-Loire to reach the high forests of Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid.

La Tour de Dunières
Day 3: Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid - Dunières : 17km - 5h -D+415m

You descend from the wooded highlands to reach Dunières, its tower and its 12th-century Romanesque church. Dunières is now a stop on the Via Fluvia, and further on, you reach Montfaucon and its church with 12 Flemish paintings.

La rivière du Lignon à Tence
Day 4: Dunières - Tence - 24 ou 20km- 6h - D+480m

On the Chemin de Saint-Régis to reach Tence, you pass through Montfaucon, whose church houses 12 Flemish paintings, and further on, Montregard, where Saint-Régis saved the village from the plague. Enjoy the incredible panorama as you reach the village of Tence.
Note: To shorten this leg, you have two alternative routes, totaling 4 km.

Day 5: Tence - Queyrières - 19km - 5h - D+660m

A day through the Lignon and Meygal mountains, passing through Saint-Jeures under the watchful eye of the Pic du Lizieux, then the Testavoyre to reach Queyrières and its magnificent phonolitic rock... A day to hike alongside volcanic peaks.

L'église de Saint-Julien Chapteuil
Day 6: Queyrières- Le Puy-en-Velay : 27km - 6h45 -D+390m

The final leg of this route, to reach Le Puy-en-Velay, will take the GR 65 and GR 430 footpaths to cross the Loire at Brives-Charensac to reach the capital of Haute-Loire, where you will spend the last night of your journey.

Long stage: If you wish, we offer the option of adding a stage in Saint-Julien-Chapteuil (Queyrières -> St-Julien-Chapteuil stage: 10km, then the following day St-Julien-Chapteuil -> Le Puy-en-Velay stage: 17km)

The 13th-century Chartreuse Bridge, the 12th-century Old Bridge in the center of Brives-Charensac, and only two arches and the Gallard Bridge remain, used by cars.

Day 7: Journey back to Lalouvesc

Meet at 9 a.m. in front of your hotel with your luggage for your return transfer to Lalouvesc (Arrival expected at 10:30 a.m. depending on road conditions).
